This SmallHD 703 UltraBright Monitor features a remarkable 2500 nits brightness on a Gorilla Glass 7" LCD. The features packed in this durable, small on-board monitor include a PageBuilder OS to access professional tools like waveform, focus peaking, and 3D LUTs, plus the ability to monitor two input sources simultaneously. In addition, this compact monitor sits in a rugged milled aluminum housing with 12v LEMO 2-pin input, an SD Card slot, and HDR Preview.

SmallHD boasts that their UltraBright monitors (703 and 503, which is sold separately) are the brightest 5" and 7" monitors in the world that maintain low power consumption. In addition to LEMO power, you can choose to power the UltraBright monitos with optional Gold Mount, V-Mount or Sony L-Series battery plates.

Those familiar with SmallHD monitors will appreciate the addition of programmable buttons to the user interface on the front of the monitor.

PageBuilder OS

SmallHD created PageBuilder OS as a quick and easy way to access professional software tools like Focus Peaking, HD Waveform, and 3D LUTs.

PageBuilder OS enables you to send your video signal downstream via the Output Preview page. Any LUTs applied to the Output Preview page will also be mirrored downstream. Easily convert HDMI/SDI signals with Cross Conversion.

Dual View Your Input Sources

Monitor two input sources simultaneously. You can apply LUTs and tools to each source individually. Great for monitoring A/B cameras or pre and post LUT footage. You can also apply tools to each page individually.

With the brightness of this Full HD monitor you will be able to monitor Camera A and Camera B input in daylight conditions.

On-Camera Tools

HDR Preview & 3D LUT Support - All SmallHD UltraBright monitors feature HDR Preview with 10-Bit ColorEngine and up to 2500 nits (the optional 503 offers 2200). Fine tune your HDR Preview with white point or black point adjustment sliders. Load any 3D LUT via your SD card using SmallHD's ColorFlow 3D LUT engine.

Exposure Assist - The Exposure Assist tool supports both ARRI and Spectrum based false color, with built in IRE guides for reference. Utilize 2x Zebra to warn you when reaching a brightness level of your choosing. This is great for matching exposure across shots and cameras.

Custom Focus Assist & Peaking - Change the color and intensity. Focus Assist creates a bright highlight on in-focus subject matter, which is highly recommended when focusing on the fly. Focus Peaking increases the image sharpness, allowing more detailed focusing.

HD Scopes with Pixel Accurate Data Analysis - Display up to (3) fully customizable Scopes on screen at a time. Utilize Color Picker to show raw pixel values from the displayed video.

Additional Tools - Cross Conversion, Waveform, and Image Framing.

Image Framing

Select standard markers and safety areas that can be overlaid on the display as lines or as matte overlays with custom opacity level and colors. Default aspect ratios include:

  • 4:3
  • 1.85
  • 2.39:1
  • 16:9
  • Custom (user selectable)
