The Atomos Samurai is a portable touchscreen professional 10-bit HD/SD-SDI recorder, monitor, & playback device that captures pristine video and audio direct from any camera with an HD/SD-SDI output. It encodes in real-time to the visually-lossless Apple ProRes format, onto low-cost, removable 2.5" inch hard disks. Footage can be reviewed in realtime via the onboard 5" display, or output to any HD/SDI-capable device. Two Lithium Ion batteries (supplied) lets the Samurai run for up to 10 hours. The Samurai includes all of the innovative features of the Ninja plus timecode and genlock, and the ability to work with multiple synchronized units.
