The HyperDeck Shuttle 2 bypasses the camera's compression and records from SDI and HDMI direct into the highest quality uncompressed video or DNxHD 220x (220Mbit/s, 10-bit), enabling editing directly from the SSD media. This compact, affordable and low power consumption battery powered unit is machined out of aircraft grade aluminum, making it ideal for use as a field unit. The unit records onto a 2.5” solid state disk, eliminate complicated and expensive disk arrays, and SSDs can easily handle shocks and vibrations that would destroy conventional hard drives or videotapes. It captures universally compatible uncompressed QuickTime files that can be used with all popular software packages like Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Resolve and Apple Color. Its standard deck style function buttons, clearly marked and easily accessible along one side, as well as LEDs that indicate input signal lock, recording status and battery status give it that familiar VTR feel. The Hyperdeck Shuttle can also be connected to a projector or television via the HDMI or SDI outputs, or you can edit directly from the SSD with no digitizing or file copying by plugging the SSD into a laptop or desktop via a standard external eSATA dock.
