The Canon EF-S 55-250mm is a telephoto zoom lens for select Canon Digital SLR cameras, with a focal length equivalent to 88-400mm in 35mm format (when used on Canon EOS cameras compatible with EF-S lenses). It is constructed of UD and aspherical elements, delivering excellent image quality throughout the entire zoom range. The Image Stabilizer provides an effect equivalent to a shutter speed about 4 stops faster than the same size lens without an Image Stabilizer.
