HD Log combines a robust database archive with word processing and video capabilities. The logger automatically grabs timecode and JPEG stills to go with each log entry you make. Then you capture only what you need to send to the editor. It also works with other formats, but with P2 the capture is as simple as an Import Command.
HD Log is specifically designed to log and archive the native video, so you can preview video, edit metadata, add detailed notes, and sort before capturing the video clips you want and saving them as MXF based files. Then the video files with notes import directly into Final Cut Pro, or any other P2-compatible editor.
