	The HVR-S270U is an exciting, new HDV camcorder that’s ideal for professional applications. A Carl Zeiss 12x optical zoon lens is included as standard, but the 1/3” bayonet mount system gives the operator the flexibility to change lenses as needed. The camcorder employs a cutting edge imaging system built on three 1/3” ClearVID CMOS sensors with Exmor technology. It features native 1080 24p/30p recording modes and an HD/SDI output. The S270U offers the capability to record on cassettes or Compact Flash solid-state memory cards. It accepts MiniDV and standard-size cassettes for up to 4.5 hours of recording time. The HVR-S270U also offers a streamlined nonlinear editing workflow. This is achieved using the supplied Memory Recording Unit, which provides HDV/DVCAM/DV file recording on a widely available Compact Flash solid-state memory cards. The HVR-MC1 flash memory recording unit offers a special shoe connector that allows for easy integration to camcorder without the need for additional cabling. The MC1 records onto easily obtained Compact Flash memory cards. Hybrid Operation enhances archiving, IT workflow and HD/SD parallel recording. The Flash Memory recording unit can be independently operated using the included cradle and standard NP InfoLITHIUM L size battery.
