The Sony PMW-F3 is next-step camera from the EX1 & EX3 family. It is a similar size and records in the same XDCAM EX format to the same SxS card media. But the F3 utilizes an all-new Super-35 sized CMOS Bayer-pattern sensor to capture the shallow depth of field and wide field of view of a Digital Cinema camera. It offers all of the ease and functionality of the EX cameras while also significantly increasing the available Dynamic Range and sensitivity. In addition to genlock, timecode I/O and full paintbox control, the F3 also offers a unique interlock connection to slave two cameras together for easy S3D shooting. Also available are 4:4:4 output, 1080/60p as well as Sony S-LOG for the greatest possible range of color correction adjustment.
Abel Cine’s PMW-F3 kit includes the Sony PL lens mount adapter, but you can rent the camera with an MTF Nikon F adapter if requested.
