The DVT-3 Transport Case is manufactured from the best grade 1000 Denier Nylon Cordura with a waterproof coating for a tough exterior, and it offers oversized YKK zippers. The soft nylon lining is strong, bright, lint free and easy to surface clean. The main compartment and all pockets have storm flaps to protect against abrasion, dust and soggy weather. The base and sidewalls have carefully chosen foam and plastic armor to shield against vibration and impact. A large exterior pocket houses additional pockets for organizing and protecting delicate accessories.
An adjustable camera cradle wraps camera with added padding, separating the camera from other items in the case. The cradle sticks to the base with Velcro, keeping the camera in an optimum position inside the case and preventing camera migration. The end result is a layered cocoon of security against rain, dust and shock. High-grade tanned leather at the handgrip and the shoulder pad of the carrying strap give a welcome addition of comfort, durability and classic styling that improves with age.

*Choosing the proper case between the DVT-3 and DVT-4 for larger handheld cameras like the HVR-Z1U is often dependent on how the camera is accessorized (lens, mattebox, battery, mics) or individual user preferences. DVT-3 can hold cameras up to 19 inches (483mm); DVT-4 holds cameras up to 21 inches (533mm) at lens height.
