The DSLR Z-Cage consists of Zacuto's DSLR baseplate and DSLR handles, providing stability when shooting handheld, as well as a mounting system for additional accessories such as a monitor, audio recorder, etc. The height of the DSLR baseplate can be adjusted to accomodate your camera, and has multiple 1/2" 13 threads for turning the cage into a shoulder-mounted rig. The camera is quick-released from the rig by turning the red knob on the baseplate then pulling the camera up. The QR plate stays mounted to the camera for cage or solo use. 3.5" rods (supplied) on the front of the baseplate allow for mounting a follow focus or matte box.
