NAB 2014: OptiTek OptiTron 2

We've previously blogged about some of OptiTek's optical adapters, and this year at NAB they're showing off an updated version of their OptiTron - the OptiTron 2.

The OptiTron 2 is a compact electronic follow focus that also features a built-in wireless transceiver. When combined with the small receiver, users have the ability for wireless focus and iris control of the the motors in Canon still lenses that support electronic autofocus. Additionally, the OptiTron's mount is fully integrated with Sony's cameras so that iris position, aperture, and focus distance can be displayed in the camera's viewfinder. I got a chance to talk with Jacek Zakowicz of OptiTek at the Sony booth, so watch my video above to learn more about the OptiTron 2.
