Today I met with Chrosziel's Timm Stemann, who showed us their MagNum wireless lens control system, which has gotten some well received updates.
The system features dual-band frequency selection, so you know you will have a strong signal even in places like the NAB show floor, which has an extremely crowded spectrum. To help select the clearest channel, the hand unit features a spectrum analyzer that gives the operator a visual representation of what channels are safest to use in the area. The MagNum system has a ton of accessories available, from gooseneck lights and belt holster attachments, to the new Zoom Rocker attachment to incorporate mechanical stepless zooming.
Timm also shows us the new digital lens motor offered by Chrosziel, the CDM-100, compatible with their MagNum and Aladin MK II, as well as third party brands. Watch the video above for more details.
