The year has come and gone in a whirlwind of projects and products. So, let us take a moment to look back and reminisce about some of our most popular blog posts over the last 12 months.

It's been a busy 2017, with a complete website overhaul and a big move in New York, never mind the dozens of blogs we published this year. As usual, a wide range of topics were represented, including new product announcements, comparison charts, workflow how-tos, custom scene files, and more. Our top viewed blogs are listed below in no particular order.

Canon Log for the 5D Mark IV

Geoff got an early look at a 5D Mark IV running the Canon Log update and decided to do some tests, as well as shoot and grade some real-world footage. He started by testing the camera's usable dynamic range, much as we did when evaluating Canon Log 3 on the C300 Mark II last year.

Monitor Calibration 101

Our own Lead Integration Engineer, Ben Meadors, is talking monitor calibrations – from why you should be doing them, to how they're performed, to how often you should perform them. As he explains in this blog, a properly calibrated monitor is the key to ensuring you will see the most accurate colors.

At the Bench: ARRI MAXIMA Stabilizer

In this video, Tech Specialist Corey Christian takes you on a quick tour of the MAXIMA stabilizer, part of ARRI's TRINITY system, before taking it for a spin around the AbelCine NY office.
