One of the advantages of the C100 sharing a sensor with the C300 and C500 is the interoperability between scene files. While the C300 and C500 can share profiles with a bit of simple computer know-how, if you want to use those same profiles on the C100, you'll have to manually copy the settings. Since the Canon EOS C300 and C500 share the same sensor and offer identical internal recording options (MXF), many folks have asked us if our C300 custom picture settings are compatible with the C500. After investigating, we've discovered that with a little bit of work, the picture profiles are interchangeable between cameras.

We've taken an in-depth look at the Sony NEX-FS700 before, and Andy and I finally had the opportunity to put together some scene files for the camera. The scene files we've built are an attempt to match some of the other profiles we've created for other cameras and should serve as a great starting point in building your own "look."

Tutorials & Guides
The Canon C300 has a wide range of adjustments in the Custom Picture menu that can be used to create a unique look. While it is great to have all these controls, sometimes it's easier to load a pre-defined look. This is where being able to load custom scene files into the camera is handy.
