Overview
AJA's Io XT suits fast video capture and playback for professional post production and on set applications. It is fully compatible with most popular NLE programs, the newest codecs, video formats, stereoscopic 3D workflows, and more.
The Io XT connects to your Mac via a single Thunderbolt cable, while providing a second Thunderbolt connector for daisy-chaining other Thunderbolt-enabled devices (such as storage) for use on set, or in your edit suite. High-end features include: 3G/Dual-link/HD/SD-SDI, Component Analog, and HDMI connectivity. AJA's OS X software and drivers connect the hardware to extensive codec and media support.
For SDI digital video, Io XT features (2) 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs and two outputs, plus HDMI 1.3 input and HDMI 1.4a output-including support for 3D, as well as component/composite output, LTC or Reference input, LTC output, 8 channels of embedded digital audio I/O and 8 channels of analog audio output. The 9-pin RS422 connector allows for use with Digital Betacam, DVCPro50, HDCAM, DVCPRO HD, D5, or HDCAM SR VTR-or any other professional device.
It also supports single link 3G 4:4:4 and dual link 4:4:4 HD-SDI, with full bandwidth 4:4:4 RGB at 10-bits for 1080i, 1080p, 1080PsF and 720p formats, and can even convert between 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 formats for single link HD-SDI monitoring and output.
Thunderbolt Enabled Workflow
You can connect your digital sources via SD/HD-SDI or HDMI for capture and editing via a wide variety of formats. Master to any digital or analog device through high-quality professional SDI, HDMI or component outputs.
Video feed comes into your Io XT from 3G, HD/SD-SDI, HDMI, Dual Link or 2K from camera, deck or telecine. The Io XT then feeds your Master VTR or file based recorder, a professional broadcast output monitor, high-quality audio monitor and a reference or client monitor with 2K/HD/SD.
