Overview
The Wooden Camera Pocket Cage for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera provides mount points for optional accessories, while leaving access to camera inputs, battery and SD card slots. This Pocket Cage is securely attached to your camera via (2) 1/4-20 x 3/8" included screws, one on the top (with two locating pins) and one one on the bottom (with an additional two locating pins).
There are multiple mounting points on all sides of the Pocket Cage which allows easy attachment of an optional tripod plate, accessories, or other production rigging. The battery door can open easily allowing access for SD card and battery changes; the Pocket Cage does not cover camera inputs.
Wooden Camera points out that the Pocket Cage is aslo ideal for attaching a cable clamp, if you want to pinch the HDMI cable when using an optional on-board monitor.
You can also mount optional microphones (shotgun mics) on the Pocket Cage to supplement the audio scratch track you will record using the Pocket Cinema Camera's existing, integrated microphone. Simply use the camera's 3.5mm stereo input jack, which is available beside the other camera inputs and not obstructed by the Pocket Cage.
