The Manfrotto MVH500AH Lightweight Video Fluid Head with Flat Base is lightweight and compact for easy transport, yet can still carry up to an 11 lb (5 kg) maximum payload. Standout features include the patented Bridging Technology™, which enables you to move smoothly from one position to the next. Fluid cartridges on the pan and tilt axes give you exceptional control without troublesome jerky movements. A counterbalance system aids in balancing heavier camera rigs, and a wider platform supports HDSLR bodies. 

This head also features a clever, accessible side lock system, enabling you to quickly attach the camera from above or to the side of the head, rather than from the rear. This lock is totally secure, eliminating the need for a secondary lock. A 500PLONG sliding QR plate is included, with a captive 1/4"-20 tie-down screw and 3/8"-16 adapter bushing. The head also features an Easy Link 3/8"-16 connector on the side panel so you can attach accessories, such as an onboard monitor. The flat base enables you to connect a variety of supports, from hybrid photo and video tripods to traditional photo tripods and monopods.
