Zacuto ENG Rig for Canon C300 MK II Digital Cinema Camera

This Zacuto ENG Rig pairs with your Canon EOS C300 MK II Digital Cinema Camera. The included Cheesebox helps balance the camera, as does the siding top plate on the VCT Pro baseplate. The ENG kit includes a Gratical EVF viewfinder, a Cheesebox Counterweight, and necessary power/adapter cables.

Canon C300 Mark II Helmet Kit

The Canon C300 Mark II Helmet Kit includes the C300 Mark II Helmet, a 3" Z-Rail and the Recoil Handle top grip. The C300 Mark II Helmet is a mini cage designed to mount directly to the top of the Canon C300 Mark II in place of the Canon's supplied top helmet and handle. It includes multiple ¼"-20 and ⅜"-16 mounting screw holes to which you can securely attach a variety of accessories. The Helmet attaches to the camera via 4 screws: one screw on top and three additional screws on the sides. These mount it firmly in place. Longer screws for attaching the helmet to the camera body are included. There are also spots on the helmet to accommodate the Canon microphone holder. You can also add a riser (not included) in the front to accept rods.

The Recoil Handle attaches to the Helmet via the included 3" Z-Rail. The quick-release Recoil Handle includes two coldshoe mounts (one vertical, one horizontal), a 15mm quick-release rod port, and two ⅜"-16 screw hole mounts (convert to ¼"-20 with a brass collet which is sold separately). The two coldshoe mounts secure with a quick-release clamp onto the shoe of your accessory. Mount two coldshoe items at once with a half turn of a Zacuto lever. No unnecessary winding of the annoying plastic round tie-down wheel is needed. The top handle itself is hand-tooled, three-quarter maple.

Zacuto's helmet and recoil handle allow you to quickly remove the handle for storing. It also allows for sliding the handle along the Z-rail to achieve perfect balance.

VCT Pro Baseplate (with sliding top to adjust balancing)

The VCT Pro baseplate is compatible with all cameras including Canon EOS C-series, Sony FS5 and FS7, AJA CION, BlackMagic, RED cameras, ARRI AMIRA, many DSLRs, Mirrorless cameras, and more. The VCT Pro has a built-in, curved shoulder pad, plus an ARRI M6 rosette for accessories and grips. It comes with quick-release, extendable 6.5" rods at the front, and lightweight spaced quick-release rod ports at the back. The v-wedge tripod connector is compatible with VCT14 tripod adapter plates or use the 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 screw holes for direct connect to your tripod quick-release plate.

The red sliding top plate offers easy adjust-ability for lens changes, removing your camera, and balancing your rig correctly on your shoulder. This sliding plate combined with a double screw track offers 10" of camera balance sliding range. You can quickly release your camera from the rig by sliding the red plate completely off and using our VCT Pro Dock to quickly transition it to a tripod, slider, etc.

The lightweight, adjustable rod mount is set far back in the plate, offering plenty of accessory-capable area under the camera lens. This allows you to position your camera further back on the plate, keeping the balance point of your rig directly over your shoulder. The sliding track of the rod riser offers 25mm of vertical adjustment.

The shoulder pad portion of the VCT Universal is set as far forward on the plate as possible, also to maximize your accessory capable rod area and aid with balance. The VCT Universal Baseplate is the core of our Next Generation Recoil rigs, designed for balance and comfort for every camera.

Keeping the camera low prevents already tall cameras from being too top heavy. With the Zacuto VCT, the distance from the bottom of your camera to your shoulder is just 3/4".

Gratical HD EVF

The Gratical HD Micro OLED electronic viewfinder uses a powerful FPGA dual core processor and the latest Micro-OLED displays to provide a hugely expanded contrast range. Our Micro-OLED display supports high pixel density with unparalleled resolution, true blacks, gamma, and contrast range. The Gratical HD features 5.4 million pixels on a 0.61" diagonal screen no bigger than the size of your thumbnail. The image produced is very sharp.

The Gratical HD includes 2x HDMI and 2x SDI ports with cross conversion from HDMI to SDI. Weather resistant covers prevent moisture or debris from getting in open ports.

The internal field of view is just the right size so that the image is large, but not so that your eye has to roam to see the entire image at once. It features a built in -1 to +4 diopter range and Zacuto's latest anti-fog coating formula. An auto-closing eyecup door prevents sunburn display automatically without any action by the operator.

Mount the Gratical HD to your Next Generation Recoil via the 1/4-20 rosette on the side with an Axis Mini. You can also mount the Gratical HD with the ¼-20 screw hole in the bottom. Included is the LP-E6 style battery with charger and universal plug adapters.

VCT Lens Support

This lens support was designed for a Servo zoom lens. Instead of mounting to the support rods, this VCT lens support attaches to the VCT Pro and then to the lens itself.

Axis Mini

Zacuto's ENG-style mount designed for EVFs attached with a rosette. The mount offers 360-degree motion and 4x adjusting points. This mount provides room to focus and will function with wide lenses. Adjust it one-handed while using the shoulder rig. The Axis Mini has extensive articulation for use with a variety of cameras, both shoulder mounted or in tripod operating position.

The Axis Mini attaches to your rig via a 15mm rod port at the top of a kit positioned perpendicular to your camera lens. Slide the Axis Mini into the 15mm rod port and clamp into place. The Axis Mini attaches to the EVF via a secure rosette mount.

The Axis Mini has three red tension levers that are controlled independently with 360 degree motion. Release all three levers to completely reposition the mount or release just one to make single segment adjustments. You can dial in the exact amount of tension needed at each lever to adjust on the fly. 

NOTE: If you are left eye shooter an additional extension is required (not included).

Cheesebox Counterweight / Wireless Pro

Attach this cheesebox counterweight box to the rear of the baseplate with 2x 3" 15mm rods. The cheesebox comes with 3x counterweights. It includes a V-Mount Battery Plate with 2x D-Tap outputs and 1x LEMO connector for the purpose of powering your camera. Mount additional accessories on the Cheeseplate using the handy 14"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounts for screws. 

In addiotion, the unit includes Zacuto wireless plate mount points.

Attach optional wireless video transmitters by using both of the included plates instead of just one.
