Overview
The Sony PMW-F5 to PMW-F55 Upgrade Kit is an optional hardware and firmware upgrade which replaces the CMOS sensor of the F5 with the sensor used in the F55, offering integrated Frame Image Scanning, Ultra Wide Color Gamut with the same color filter array and the same image quality of an F55. Get onboard XAVC 4K recording and 4K live signal output capabilities via 3G-SDI and HDMI.
Note: When purchasing the upgrade kit, you will receive a certificate with a unique serial number. You must contact a Sony Service Center to schedule an appointment and provide this serial number; once confirmed, you must then ship the camera directly to Sony. The upgrade is normally completed within two business days of receiving the camera at the Service Center. Upon completion, the camera will be shipped back to you.
