Overview
ZK4.7x19 is a standard zoom lens with a 19-90mm focal length within the frequently used range. Thanks to the detachable servo drive unit on the ZK series, the lens can be operated as a traditional broadcast ENG-Style lens with accessories. When the servo drive unit is removed, traditional cinema manual or external cine motors for zooming and focusing operation can be used. The 19-90mm Cabrio includes a detachable handgrip, converting it from an ENG/EFP handheld zoom to a cinema zoom. The removable servo drive contains built-in lens motors for focus, iris, and zoom, with a rocker switch controlling the zoom.
The Cabrio connects with the hot shoe contacts in the lens mounts of newer PL-mount cameras. Compatibility with Preston, Arri, Heden or cMotion systems is not an issue--simply detach the handgrip for remote operation with any third party controller. The drive is self-centering, and will calibrate itself when reattached. Luminous paint improves the visibility of the zoom, focus and iris index marks. The Macro feature allows for unique close focusing, a first for a cine lens.
With the latest optical simulation technology and high-precision, large diameter aspherical elements, this lens achieves both high optical performance in a lightweight, compact body weight only 6.28lb (2.85kg). Thanks to high resolution from the center to corner, high image quality without image distortion can be exhibited on large movie theater screens.
