OConnor O-Box Deluxe Set

The OConnor O-Box WM Mattebox System is a two-stage mattebox designed around the 16:9 format full-size sensor. As a wide-angle system, it can accommodate lenses up to 18mm. It can also accept up to three filters: two in top-loading filter frames (two 4x4 and two 4x5.65 frames are included). A third 138mm round filter can fit in the bellows (optional, sold separately). 

Due to its rugged construction, the sunshade is both impact-resistant and lightweight. Additionally, the O-Box is conveniently designed to work perfectly with the Oconnor O-Grips handgrips. The O-Grips can be attached at the 3/8" interfaces on the left, right, and bottom center of the O-Box.

OConnor offers an easy 2-part solution to adapt the mattebox to either 15mm or 19mm studio rods. The LWS bracket included with the mattebox is simply removed via 2 Allen screws (3mm Allen / Hex key) and the unit is then replaced with either part #C1243-1118 for Studio 19mm rods or #C1243-1119 for the offset Studio 15mm rods (studio adapters are sold separately). The OConnor adapter then interfaces with the O-Grips' 3-standard rod bridge #C1244-1002 (not included) for studio-based rod support. This solution provides a total of 6 mounting points for O-Grips (sold separately), while saving valuable rod space.

The O-Box is the first commercially produced mattebox to have integrated handgrip interfaces. While traditionally operators have used the sunshade as a handle, this precarious handling is remedied by OConnor’s O-Grips that can be conveniently attached directly to the O-Box support cage in three locations: camera left, right or bottom center. The bottom center position is particularly useful for small setups such as HDSLR cameras when the O-Grips turn into a pistol-style grip for the operator’s right hand while the follow focus handwheel is in their left.

The OConnor O-Box WM Side Flag Bracket Set includes (2) brackets for the OConnor O-Box WM Mattebox, enabling attachment of a left and right side flag (sold separately). Each bracket features two thumbscrews for easily attaching or removing a side flag. Flag position can be quickly adjusted thanks to a ratcheting kip lever.

NOTE: These brackets feature (4) mounting holes for the redesigned O-Box, rather than the original 12-hole design.

The OConnor Bellows Ring is a 150mm to 114mm threaded ring for the O-Box mattebox system that allows the use of 114mm step down rings to fit your lens.

Accommodates a 138mm round filter.

The OConnor 150-80mm Universal Ring is an adaptive reduction ring compatible with 134mm to 80mm front outer diameter lenses. Designed for use with the Oconnor O-Box WM Mattebox, which has a 150mm console.

OConnor 114-55mm Threaded Universal Ring allows you to accept lenses down to 55mm diameter. This step down ring with an aluminum exterior ring adapts from 114mm down to 55mm through use of a fabric inner ring that flexs to accommodate varied lens sizes. Use this in place of your multiple reduction rings. Fits your OConnor O-Box WM Mattebox.

The OConnor 114-110mm Threaded Reduction Ring enables the use of a 110mm front diameter lens with the 114mm bellows of the OConnor O-Box Mattebox (sold separately).
