Overview
The Sachtler Ace Matte Box minimizes unwanted lens flares and holds up to (2) standard-sized 4x4 or 4x5.65 filters. The front filter stage is fixed, while the rear filter stage can be rotated up to 90° left or right. The Ace Matte Box contains two neoprene rings of different sizes, which you can easily trim to fit your lens barrel diameter. Additionally, it includes an adjustable 15mm LWS rod bridge that adapts to different lens centroid heights.
The matte box has been designed to support a range of DSLR and professional video cameras, such as the Canon 5D. In addition to trays, stages, and donuts, it also features an adjustable top flag, side flags, one gear wheel and a friction drive wheel, as well as a rear 143mm clamping interface. Two accessory bars allow a variety of products to be attached to the sunshade, up to a payload of 2.2 lb.
