Overview
The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Contemporary DG OS HSM Zoom - EF Mount is a variable aperture, hyper-telephoto zoom lens designed to achieve maximum portability with exceptional image quality. Lightweight and compact, this zoom can handle virtually any long-reach photographic situation.
The 150-600mm Contemporary boasts updated Sigma technology, including a quiet and optimized Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) and a new Optical Stabilizer (OS) with an accelerometer for improved panning (both vertically and horizontally) that is essential for birding, wildlife and motor photography. The lens also features a new zoom lock switch that can be locked at any focal length, and a new manual override (MO) switch for improved focusing control. Working with the Sigma USB dock (not included), this lens permits maximum customization, such as firmware updates and adjustments to the focus limiter, AF speed and OS view.
This lens includes a total of 20 elements in 14 groups. It offers a minimum focus distance (MOD) of 9' 2.2" (280cm).
