Overview
This 19" ATOMOS Sumo19M HDR/High Bright Monitor is daylight-viewable and features a 1200nit 1920x1080 display. The monitor supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) and regular Rec.709. Connect this large monitor to second screens and devices via HDMI or HD-SDI with LUTs applied or in HDR in HLG or PQ formats. On this monitor you can view Log footage with 10+stops of dynamic range by using the unique AtomHDR engine.
This large monitor functions well as a reference monitor for your director or clients on set. It also performs well with HDR grading applications with color software during post production. Its SDI In/Out performs well to connect an SDI or HDMI device so you can convert between HDMI 2.0 and SDI. Its dual SDI inputs accept 4K at up to 60fps or HD at up to 240fps over HDMI.
NOTE: This is the monitor only. ATOMOS makes a Sumo Monitor/Recorder, as well.
Real-Time Exposure From Log for HDR & SDR
The AtomHDR engine maps Log, PQ, HLG from popular cameras and game consoles to SUMO19M's panel, that resolves 10+ stops of HDR in real-time. Pass-on HDR to other devices over HDMI or SDI, in HD or 4K and in Rec709/HLG/PQ. To achieve the best image from your sensor, you must shoot Log. AtomHDR makes exposing Log easier by unlocking every camera's HDR potential. The SUMO19M inputs can be used as an editing and grading companion in the studio with full SDR and HDR support through 709/HLG/PQ.
Daylight-Viewable
This 1200nit 19" calibrated 1920x1080 LCD monitor is extremely bright, even when outside in full sun. An optional hood is available as an accessory.
Touchscreen Monitor Emulates Button Menus
The SUMO19M is all about performance monitoring with HDR or SDR, 4Kp60 or HD, 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 and everything in between. With the recording functions removed (you can separately purchase a Sumo Monitor/Recorder) the user interface has been redesigned to emulate a button-based monitor. All the precision scopes can be accessed from the bottom of the screen as an overlay through simple and intuitive adjustments, just like your smartphone, so it is easy-to-use.
Functions include: focus peaking, 2:1 / 1:1 zoom, zebra, false color, frame guides, SMPTE Safe Area, waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, anamorphic desqueeze, and a flexible 3D LUT implementation to upload your own LUTs as .cube files.
Noise-Free SDR with Log and AtomHDR
Today's productions require flexibility to perform, no matter the camera or production you must be able to deliver superb SDR or mind blowing HDR to your clients. Shooting Log from your camera and exposing using AtomHDR provides the maximum latitude and flexibility in Post to produce the cleanest, noise-free SDR image, plus the highest dynamic range HDR.
Selectable Dual 12/6/3G-SDI Input for A/B Comparison
The SUMO19M accepts up to 4Kp60 or HDp240 over HDMI or the dual 12/6/3G-SDI inputs. Additionally, there are dedicated input selection buttons on the user interface to make A/B comparison between sources simple and simultaneous HDMI and SDI output of the corresponding input for routing to other monitors, recorders or switchers.
3D LUTs
Load an infinite number of custom LUTs onto your Sumo19M via the HDD/SSD slot. Apply and compare looks for finishing in SDR or HDR, form your favourite LUT for your camera or from your post team for consistency across shoots.
Monitor Calibration
The extremely bright 1200nit display means you can accurately monitor your footage, even when outside in full daylight. Sumo19M features a wide viewing angle so everyone on set can review the action. It also features optional calibration using X-Rite's i1DisplayPro for ongoing accurate HDR and Rec709 monitoring.
Mounting Points & Durable Chassis
The aluminium alloy chassis with built-in armor houses (16) 1/4" and (8) 3/8" mounting points around the top/bottom/sides. The rear panel icludes a VESA mount. In addition, (2) feet are provided. With this variety of mounting configurations, you can employ the Sumo19M on set and in Post Production nearly wherever you need it.
Continuous Power Options
Optional mounting plates connect dual V-Lock or Anton Bauer batteries that work in tandem with our patent pending continuous power system. Sumo automatically swaps to the second battery when power is low, allowing the drained battery to be hot swapped to ensure you are never without power in the field.
