Zacuto Sony FS7 II Recoil Pro 

The Sony FS7 II Recoil Pro shoulder-mounted rig includes the Zacuto VCT Pro baseplate and the Axis Mini for Sony FS7 and FS7 II cameras, which can be used with either a Gratical EVF (included in this bundle) or your Sony monitor. Use the included, highly adaptable FS7II Zgrip Trigger to relocate your FS7 II camera grip. 

This is a Next Generation Recoil rig designed for optimal balance and comfort when shoulder mounted or on a tripod. With lenses and cameras being similar weights, the balance point is where the lens meets the camera body. In a Recoil rig, the balance point needs to be directly over your shoulder which puts the camera behind you. This requires focus, monitoring and camera controls to be relocated forward, creating a lighter and shorter rig. 

Includes:

VCT Pro – this baseplate features a sliding top plate for quickly removing the camera from the rig or fast lens changes, a built-in, curved shoulder pad, a v-wedge tripod connector (with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw option). It has removable and extendable 6.5" iris rods and rows of 1/4"-20 screw holes along the sides for accessories. It offers quick release 15mm rod connections in the rear. The recessed rod mount offers maximum accessory capable space under your camera lens.  The shoulder pad portion of the VCT is set as far forward on the plate as possible to maximize your accessory capable rod area and to aid with balance.

Axis Mini for Sony FS7 - Attaches to the included Sony FS7 Rod Lock to mount either a rosette mounted EVF like the optional Gratical HD or your Sony monitor (an optional Sony 15mm round rod insert is required for FS7 II compatibility). Axis Mini features adjustable positioning for shoulder mounted shooting or tripod shooting. The Axis Mini attaches to your rig via a 15mm rod port at the top of a kit positioned perpendicular to your camera lens. Slide the Axis Mini into the 15mm rod port and clamp into place. The Axis Mini attaches to your EVF via a secure rosette mount.

The Axis Mini offers (3) red tension levers that are controlled independently with 360° motion. Release all (3) levers to completely reposition the mount or release just (1) to make single segment adjustments. You can dial in the exact amount of tension needed at each lever to adjust on the fly. 

NOTE: If you are left eye shooter, an additional extension is required (not included).

FS7II Zgrip Trigger - Attaches via an M6 Rosette. It allows for single-handed 360° rotation with the simple press of a trigger. Flip it down for a low, rock-solid handgrip. Raise it up for more of an Aaton style position. Or quickly flip it all the way up to set your camera flat on the ground or for storing in a case. The FS7 II Zgrip Trigger is 11.5" long with 6" of length adjustment. The handgrip allows 360° of rotation to adjust the handgrip into the perfect position for combatting fatigue.

Zacuto Gratical Eye Micro-OLED EVF 

The Zacuto Gratical Eye Micro-OLED EVF weighs only 14 oz and fits in the palm of your hand. In order to keep the unit small and compact, it features a 2-pin Lemo jack for power, a single SDI input, and a USB port for firmware updates. Gratical Eye customers can enjoy free firmware updates from Zacuto, including fixes and additions, for life.

Along with the full suite of Zacuto EVF firmware (full scopes, LUTs, multi level peaking, and more), the Gratical Eye has two unique features – an external tally light and a proximity screen saver sensor. If the sensor does not detect anything for 7 seconds (time is user adjustable) the screen will go black and then wake up instantly when it detects motion. After 1 hour of being idle, the Eye will go into auto shutoff mode, saving you power. 

At the core of the Gratical Eye is a powerful, cutting edge FPGA dual core processor. This processor supports our wide array of professional features including Vectorscope, Waveform (3D), Histogram, LUT import/export/create, etc.

The Gratical Eye SDI EVF features a state-of-the-art Micro-OLED screen. With 5.4 million pixels squeezed onto a screen only 0.61" diagonal, you get a hugely expanded contrast range for the truest image possible. The Micro-OLED screen offers vivid, vibrant colors and true black, as each pixel is lit individually. The Gratical Eye has HD-SDI input only with resolutions up to 1080p/60.
