Overview
The Zeiss Cine Lens Certification, lead by Zeiss Service Trainer, Simon Sommer and AbelCine Lens Technician, Casey Ehalt, is geared towards Sales Reps and Rental Technicians who wish to gain more knowledge about Zeiss Lenses.
There are two levels of certification that are available.
Level Two approaches the curriculum from a Technician’s standpoint and is geared for those who are seeking to provide a certain level of service on Zeiss products and gain a deeper knowledge of cine lens mechanics and optics. The second half of the workshop includes hands-on lens repair training and discussion.
If you are taking Level One DO NOT take Level Two, because it will be repetitive. Take one or the other. Attending the Level One course is not a prerequisite to taking Level Two. It is highly recommended that a course is chosen based on the student’s current level of experience. Level Two goes more in-depth than Level One.
See course topics for each Level for more details.
Level 2
For Level Two, it is suggested that attendees have intermediate knowledge about cine lenses, experience with basic adjustments and some repair experience in a rental house or repair shop environment.
