This Canon L-Series ultra wide-angle 16-35mm lens is designed for professional photographers and high-end amateur photographers. It features 3 high-precision aspherical lens elements with different types (ground, replica, and GMo) for improved image quality compared its predecessor. With a focal length of 16-35mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.8, this lens includes internal focusing, a ring-type USM (Ultra Sonic Monitor), and a new autofocus algorithms for fast and quiet AF. The lens is constructed with 16 elements in 12 groups. It’s closest focusing distance is 0.92 feet (0.28m). It fits an 82mm filter size. In addition, this lens is water-resistant.
