Overview
The Schneider Linear True-Pol Polarizing Filter - 4x5.65 is an effective polarizer for motion picture and television cameras. The Schneider Optics True-Pol is ideal for use with the RED digital cinema camera and other 4K camera systems.
Having an extinction ratio of ER 374, the Schneider True-Pol is 12x more effective than other polarizing filters, and is unmatched in its ability to:
- Reduce glare and unwanted reflections
- Saturate colors
- Deepen blue skies
- Improve contrast
- Penetrate haze
NOTE: Not for use with cameras featuring polarizing elements in the beam-splitters of the viewing system (such as ARRI 435 and the Movie-Cam Compact), or certain high definition video cameras with complex optical blocks (such as the Sony PMW-EX1, PMW-EX3, and PDW-700) that polarize the red and blue channels to a greater degree.
