Bright Tangerine VIV 2-Stage Mattebox Kit #1 - 4x5.65", 150mm Clamp-on

The Bright Tangerine VIV 2-Stage Mattebox is a lightweight hybrid mattebox integrating clamp-on, rod mount, and swing-away designs. Combining adjustable flags with stack cassette filter stages, VIV contains all the features you'll ever need in a mattebox. Simply undo the screws, remove the back, and insert another filter tray. It's that simple. No costly stages to buy, or time wasted changing back plates. The 2nd and 3rd stages (3rd stage sold separately) rotate through 360°, and the VIV is an adaptive design, transforming into a lightweight clamp-on mattebox simply by removing both additional stages.

With the addition of the lightweight arm (not included), VIV becomes a studio mattebox. Once attached, the arm can be removed in seconds. Simply release the lock, slide the mattebox off the arm, and you're ready to go in 150mm clamp-on mode. VIV is also able to slide forward and swing away (when configured in studio mode) to make lens changes quick and simple, giving you more time to focus on your next shot. The VIV covers lenses as wide as a 14mm Cooke S4 with all three filter stages. You can also shoot with RED Pro Zooms at 5K without vignetting.

Bright Tangerine matteboxes aren't just filter holders; protecting your lens from stray light improves contrast and resolution. The carbon fiber blades are fixed to light alloy axles that stay with the flag. VIV is engineered to achieve an incredibly high strength to weight ratio. Combining a carbon fiber core with sophisticated hard-anodized alloys, VIV is extremely tough and built to last. Normal filter stages get clogged up. Thanks to Bright Tangerine Stack Cassette Technology, trapped debris and lubrication are now a thing of the past. Servicing only takes a few minutes, with just the swipe of a brush.

The 3/8" mounting point means you can attach a small LED light, monitor, or Cinetape for tracking distance. Simply twist, slide and place it wherever you want, or remove it in seconds. A vertical height adjustment system allows up to 12.5mm (tool less) adustment in swing away configuration, and 10.5mm adjustment in 15mm LWS rod bracket configuration.
