AJA's Ki Pro Mini was designed as a miniature field recorder for creating "ready-to-edit" professional digital video and audio. The Ki Pro Mini is powerful, supporting all four types of Apple ProRes 422 (including HQ, LT and Proxy). Simplifies the link between production and post by unobtrusively fitting in small spaces and recording ProRes 422, from any SDI or HDMI camera, regardless of format.
The unit is operated by familiar VTR-like buttons, or can be controlled via ethernet or WiFi from a laptop or iPhone.
An optional Ki Pro Mini mounting plate offers a wide variety of bolt patterns for mating either side of the unit with virtually any camera accessory bracket.

AJA's KiPro Mini is here! The small brother of Ki Pro designed for a variety of size conscious needs with a range of flexible attachment options. Ki Pro Mini is a small form-factor, lightweight, 10-bit video recorder that can be connected to a wide variety of SDI and HDMI enabled video sources.
AJA has just started to deliver their highly anticipated Ki Pro Mini external recorder. They had great success with the original Ki Pro, and the Ki Pro Mini brings several of the features of that device, but in a much smaller package. This little device can record an HD-SDI or HDMI video stream in several different flavors of the Apple ProRes Codec (422 HQ, 422, LT and Proxy). The video records directly to Compact Flash cards, which makes the workflow very easy. In the video above, I rigged the Ki Pro Mini to the new Sony PMW-F3. My rig was composed of a Zacuto Universal Baseplate with 123 rods, two Ki Pro Mini mounting plates, AJA rod adapters, and an Anton Bauer battery plate.
