The HyperDeck Studio bypasses the camera's compression and records from SDI and HDMI direct into the highest quality uncompressed video, enabling editing directly from the SSD media. This single rack unit, measuring less than 4 inches deep, fits easily into an outside broadcast van or master control room.
The unit records onto a 2.5” solid state disk, eliminate complicated and expensive disk arrays, and SSDs can easily handle shocks and vibrations that would destroy conventional hard drives or videotapes. It captures universally compatible uncompressed QuickTime files that can be used with all popular software packages like Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Resolve and Apple Color.
The familiar VTR style design provides function buttons, function control, a knob for jog and shuttle, plus an external RS-422 control. The Hyperdeck Studio can also be connected to a projector or television via the HDMI or SDI outputs, or you can edit directly from the SSD with no digitizing or file copying by plugging the SSD into a laptop or desktop via a standard external eSATA dock. Chain several units together via the SD/HD-SDI loop to record multiple copies simultaneously. HyperDeck Studio also comes standard with a USB connection for firmware updates and settings.
