The CamTram is an innovative dolly and camera mounting system that is ideal for documentary and high-end ENG/EFP shoots. This highly adaptable and portable dolly sets up quickly and runs fast and smooth even when the terrain and conditions are difficult. It comes packaged in its own custom 1600 Pelican case.

The CamTram system consists of a versatile Hi/Lo Hat attached to a plate designed for a multitude of mounting options. The Hi/Lo Hat can be used by itself or mounted to the precisely engineered dolly or Tram. The Tram features eight soft rubber tires mounted to an adjustable chassis with a passive rocker suspension system. The Tram also features parking brakes and a quick and effective cable management system. It is designed to run on any set of ridged parallels that are 13 to 30 inches apart.

With the CamTram you supply the track. An ordinary extension ladder is an excellent choice because it easily accessible and quite ridged. Other examples of track are sets of 3/4" to 2" pipe or even two 2 by 4's nailed together. You could adapt it to dolly on a common banquet table or countertop. Alternatively you can leave off all the guide and clamp wheels and run it on the floor.

Precision ABEC-3 rated bearings in wheels for smooth starts and stops
Single caliper parking brakes lock the Tram when not in use
Wheels can be adjusted from 13" to 30" apart via telescoping tubes to fit the track of your choice
Guide wheels are adjustable horizontally and vertically to accommodate straight and true operation on just about any track (CamTram is not recommend for curved track)
Adjustable clamp wheels make the Tram more secure to the track
Cable guides provided for quick and clean cable management
