ABELCINE STUDENT PACKAGES

AbelCine appreciates the importance of the student filmmaking community. We hope that, through this Student Filmmaker Package program, we can help students fully realize their vision with state-of-the-art equipment and instructional introduction to the current standards and practices of the professional film industry. Throughout the year, AbelCine will provide a complete camera packages at a significantly reduced student rate.


Who Qualifies:

If you are a student currently enrolled in an accredited filmmaking program, you qualify to put our student package on reserve. In order to affirm your status as a student, we ask that you send a photocopy of your student ID as well as obtain a signature of a faculty member whom we can contact about your project. Mail or fax completed applications to AbelCine's New York or Burbank location.


Additional Items:

Should the student want to add items to his rental order that are not included in the Student Package, he or she can rent those items a discounted rate.


Payment:

Full payment for the rental must be made before the equipment leaves AbelCine. The payment can be in the form of a certified check or a credit card.


Insurance:

We require all rental clients to provide a copy of a certificate of insurance naming Abel Cine Tech, Inc. as certificate holder and loss payee with respect to motion picture camera equipment. Coverage on the policy must include full replacement cost value over the period the equipment will be out of our hands. In addition, we also require renters to leave a security deposit to be returned after the equipment has been checked in by our technicians. This deposit must be in the amount of the deductible on the aforementioned insurance certificate.


Other Conditions:

The rental rate for the package is non-negotiable, regardless of whatever changes are made to the package due to the needs of the student or equipment availability. There will be no substituting or trading of items. The package is subject to equipment availability.


Screen Credit:

The student agrees to include in their project’s credits "Cameras supplied by AbelCine's Student Filmmaker Package program." Artwork for this credit can be provided by AbelCine.
