Miro Challenge Grand Prize Winner Announced

On Friday, March 1st, a special screening and awards ceremony was held at AbelCine's New York location. The occasion was to announce the winner of the Miro High-Speed Inspiration Challenge, which began in July of last year. All five of the films were screened, and each team talked a bit about their inspiration and experiences working with the Miro camera. Jon Fauer, of Film and Digital Times, was the event's MC.

AbelCine and Vision Research would like to extend their congratulations to Robert Kolodny, whose film Fly On Out was chosen as the Miro Challenge Grand Prize Winner! Robert and his team went home with a brand new Phantom Miro LC320S camera package, courtesy of Vision Research.

We would also like to say thank you to all of the other finalists for the hard work and creativity that went into each film. Laura Egan (Anchor Me Here) was chosen as 1st runner up, with a prize of a $7,500 certificate towards any Phantom Camera rental; Peter Nelson (Dance of the Honey Bee), Nathan Pardee & Kristine Guzman (The Great Sundering), and Tim Wu & Natasha Kermani (A Closer Look) each received $1,500 certificates towards the rental of any camera package from AbelCine.
