Sales Terms & Conditions

Sales & Payment

All transactions require the customer to agree to these Terms and Conditions.

AbelCine requires, at minimum, a valid contact name, billing address, and phone number for all transactions. While we try to ensure accuracy, we reserve the right to correct any errors in pricing or descriptions, and to cancel or refuse any orders based on incorrect price or description. Such corrections may be made even after an order is accepted.

Special and Custom Order items are marked with a red asterisk on your quote and packing list. Full payment is required for all Custom Order items and standard orders under $2,000. For Special Order items and standard orders over $2,000, a minimum 10% deposit is required. Deposits amounts are subject to change depending on additional manufacturer requirements. Items will not be shipped until full payment is received for COD transactions, or a PO has been confirmed for Net Terms transactions.

Some manufacturers have geographical restrictions that limit AbelCine’s ability to quote certain items. In such instances, AbelCine will direct you to the manufacturer or other authorized reseller.

It is the customer’s responsibility to complete any rebate forms and return them to the manufacturer within the specified time limit and conditions of the manufacturers rebate program. It is further the customer’s responsibility to carefully read and understand the terms and conditions of such rebate programs, including any UPC code requirements before discarding any packaging.

Some items are available to purchase online that are not currently in stock. These items will display the time frame within which they normally ship. This is an estimate of how long it will take us to receive the item from the vendor, not how long it will take for you to receive the item. If your order contains products with different availability, we will contact you to confirm if you want all your items at the same time or in multiple shipments. Additional shipping charges may apply for separate shipments.

Unless a Net Account has been previously established with our financial office and is in good standing, all sales clients must follow our standard COD payment procedure. AbelCine accepts credit card payments of up to $25,000. New international clients are required to provide photo identification when paying by credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover, as well as PayPal, Bank Wire, Cash, and Check (personal, traveler’s, and cashier’s). Please note that AbelCine will not release items paid for by PayPal, Bank Wire, Cash, or Check unless the funds have been cleared. For most banks, the process usually takes 3-5 days.

 

Ship to Store

All orders are eligible for Ship to Store, which allows for pickup at one of our locations: Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York. Full payment is required in advance for all Ship to Store orders. Once payment is complete, the order will be pulled for pickup. An email notification will be sent when the order is ready, and a weekly reminder email will be sent until the order has been picked up. If the order is not picked up within 4 weeks from the time it was pulled, it will be submitted for return with a restocking fee and subject to AbelCine’s standard Return Policy.

 

Shipping

Please note that orders of $500 or more require a direct signature, and include free ground shipping within the continental US, with the exception of certain oversized items. Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost.

If the billing and shipping addresses differ, your order may require additional verification, which could delay the processing of your order.

Free expedited shipping to the contiguous, lower 48 states may be available for some items. This excludes PO Boxes, FPO/APO, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Expedited shipping items usually arrive in 1-3 days from the time they leave our warehouse, depending on your location. In order to receive free expedited shipping, all items in your order must qualify. If any items are ineligible for free shipping, you will be charged standard shipping rates for your entire order, or you may split your order into two parts. Free shipping cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions. Any changes to your order or shipping preferences made once your order is placed may affect free shipping eligibility.

All orders are subject to any sales tax as determined by State law. If you have an applicable Sales Tax Exemption or Resale Certificate, please email this document to [email protected] and allow up to 48 hours for processing and corrected tax to be reflected on your account. Visit our Tax Exemption & Resale Certificates page for a list of states where we collect sales tax, and to download forms for some of these states.

Orders that will be shipped need to be confirmed and payment received by 12 PM local time in order to ship same-day.

Certain items that qualify as Hazardous Materials may incur additional fees and delays.

 

Order Status & Tracking

For any questions or concerns regarding your order status please contact Customer Service. Please reference your order number and account name in your email so that we will best be able to assist you.

 

Receipt of Your Order

Upon receipt of your purchase, please check that all items on your packing slip have been accounted for. Carefully unpack and inspect the condition of all equipment, taking care not to damage the manufacturer’s original packaging. Do not fill out the manufacturer’s warranty cards or throw away any packaging materials such as boxes, instructions, inserts, bags, etc. until you are completely sure you want to keep the equipment. All claims for damaged or missing items must be reported to AbelCine within five (5) business days of receipt of the equipment.

 

Manufacturers’ Rebates

It is the customer’s responsibility to complete any rebate forms and return them to the manufacturer within the specified time limit and conditions of the manufacturers rebate program. It is further the customer’s responsibility to carefully read and understand the terms and conditions of such rebate programs, including any UPC code requirements before discarding any packaging.

 

International Orders

The following policies apply to all transactions shipped to a destination outside of the U.S. or made with a credit card not issued by a U.S. bank, whether completed online, by phone, or in one of our physical locations. We reserve the right to request a direct wire transfer to our bank when it is advisable for the security of your order.

Some manufacturers have geographical restrictions that limit AbelCine’s ability to ship internationally. In such instances, AbelCine will direct you to the manufacturer or other authorized resellers. All international orders are shipped via FedEx International Services.

Any Hazardous Materials that ship internationally may be denied by the destination country. Please contact your local customs office for details.

Our international clients should be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to inspection by customs authorities. We may also be called upon to provide certain order, shipment, and product information to our international carriers. Carriers may communicate such information to customs authorities for the purpose of facilitating customs clearance and compliance with local laws.

 

Customs & Duties

Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. These fees, as well as any additional charges for customs clearance, are the responsibility of the recipient. AbelCine has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be, and they can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. Contact your local customs office for further information.

 

Returns & Exchanges

All claims for damaged or missing items must be reported within 48 hours from receipt of your order.

If you are for any reason dissatisfied with your order, you can return it to AbelCine within 30 days of your receipt of the product with the exception of the non-returnable items listed below. Please note, unless defective, a 25% re-stocking fee will be charged on any used or open-box products.

Products can be returned or exchanged only if the item(s) are in original packaging and delivered to AbelCine in the same new condition as sold with literature, instructions, and blank warranty cards intact.

To request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), please contact Customer Service at [email protected] and provide your order number, the item you wish to return, and the reason you would like to return. Once an RMA number has been issued, please return the item to AbelCine with the RMA number clearly labeled on the shipping box, as well as the paperwork included inside the package. Make sure to include all original product packaging in the return shipment and ship via a pre-paid, insured shipping service. Customers are responsible for the return shipment. Please do not tape or write anything on the item or the original product packaging. Doing so will result in a re-stocking fee. The product must be returned within thirty days of receipt of the original shipment.

If any of the above conditions are not met, AbelCine reserves the right to deny the return. Please allow AbelCine 2-5 business days to process returns once the product is received.

For cash, check, and wire purchases, your refund will be issued by check from our main office. For credit card purchases, the refund amount will be refunded to the card used at the time of purchase. If this card is no longer valid, a check will be mailed from our main office. No refunds or exchanges will be made after 30 days of receipt of original shipment. Shipping and Handling is nonrefundable.
 
While AbelCine makes every effort to inform its customers of the details of the products we carry, it is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to understand the specifications, capabilities and limitations of the products purchased. AbelCine is not responsible for personal data or items left in returned merchandise. AbelCine is not responsible for any consequential damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise bought from us. AbelCine is responsible for the monetary value of the purchased product only.

Warranties & Warranty Repairs

Most items sold by AbelCine are covered by a manufacturer's warranty. When the item has a manufacturer's warranty, and/or the AbelCine 30-day warranty period has expired, calls for service or repairs will be referred directly to the manufacturer or their authorized service centers. Warranty repairs on equipment are to be sent to the manufacturer or authorized repair centers for repair at owner’s expense after 30 days from purchase. See the manufacturer’s website for locations and conditions of returns for repair.

Training Policies

Payment must be received upon registration. If a participant is unable to attend for any reason, you may transfer registration to an alternate date or location, or use the full credit towards a different workshop. You may also transfer enrollment to someone else, but you must provide the updated registrant information prior to the start of the class. If unable to attend, you must notify AbelCine within 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time.

AbelCine reserves the right to cancel or postpone classes in the event of low enrollment or forces beyond our control. If the instructor is sick or unable to attend, we will notify attendees 48 hours in advance of class to reschedule for a later date.

Any discount codes, coupons, or certificates must be redeemed at registration. Multiple discounts cannot be combined, in these situations we will honor the largest discount.
