This week our lens technicians received Canon lens training from Daniel Umeki, a Tech Support Specialist at Canon. Working with all factory supplied tools, our team was trained on complete disassembly and overhaul of the Canon Cine-Servo Cinema Zoom 17-120.

In addition, our technicians are now certified to perform Canon mount conversions (PL & EF) and initialization, as well as a complete Cine-Servo calibration. They will also be able to perform firmware upgrades as they become available.

Our Service department is now certified for:

  • Complete disassembly and overhaul of the Canon Cine-Servo Cinema Zoom 17-120
  • Complete Canon Service Station-level optical adjustment
  • Mount conversion (PL & EF) and initialization
  • Complete servo calibration

Our Service technicians recently underwent training from Canon to learn how to perform the Cinema EOS Mount Exchange. This program enables owners of the EOS C300 Mark II to switch between EF and PL mounts as necessary. This program enhancement will provide more flexibility to professionals using the Cinema EOS system, and can now be done at our NY and LA locations.
