Sony recently introduced Protection PLUS for their professional cameras, an extended service plan that includes an option for accidental damage from handling. The Protection PLUS plan covers you for three years from the date of purchase.
The Extended Service Plan provides coverage for mechanical or electrical failure experienced during normal use, including CCD block / C-MOS imager. Accidental Damage from Handling provides protection against accidents such as drops, spill or screen breakage.
