KipperTie Diffusion OLPF for RED S35 DSMC2 Cameras - Gold 1

The KipperTie Diffusion OLPF for RED DSMC2 - Gold 1 softens and expands highlights, retaining sharp focus. Specialized dichroic particles split warm and cool color temperatures, softening skintone and warming harsh light sources, while keeping cool and shadow areas crisp and clean. Bokeh is rendered faithfully to the lens, with only slight patterning. Also available in Gold 2 diffusion density (sold separately). Both use KipperTie’s optimized color calibration.

The KipperTie diffusion filter range is carefully designed to provide the most effective, beautiful and consistent diffusion for your RED camera. Each filter combines precision, scientific-grade optical components with artisan hand-production techniques. The true optical low-pass filter function is maintained, and color calibration is matched to RED’s standard options.

By integrating the filter with the OLPF, a number of issues with front-of-lens filtration are removed:

• No need to take up a stage in your matte box (if you need to use one at all)
• No internal reflections from additional optical surfaces
• No need to swap diffusion filters every time you change focal length; the effect is focal length-independent
• Filter any size or shape lens, no matter how challenging the form factor
• Greatly reduced ‘sparkling’ and bokeh patterning, with micro-fine diffusion particles
