Overview
The Tiffen Neutral Density 0.6 Grad SE Horizontal Filter - 6 x 6 is designed to darken the top or bottom of an image (depending on filter orientation) without affecting image color. The soft gradient transitions from totally clear to full ND value, with ND 0.6 equaling 2-stops of exposure reduction.
NOTE: Wide angle lenses typically make objects appear smaller. Therefore, Tiffen recommends a soft edge for short focal lengths, as a hard edge gradient would appear to be a hard straight line. Soft Edge filters (and attenuators) are for subtle blending with irregularly-shaped subjects or unusual lighting.
