Overview
ATOMOS Ninja Inferno 7" HDR Monitor/Recorder with a touchscreen display unlocks the professional capability of 4Kp60 10-bit cameras, bypassing the internal recording limitations and taking full advantage of the sensor by recording to the camera's maximum color accuracy, color resolution, and dynamic range. You can monitor or record HDR or Rec709 up to 4:2:2 10-bit as Log high bitrate Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR.
In addition, this 7" monitor is a 1500nit bright, daylight-viewable monitor (1920x1200) at almost 4 times the brightness of conventional field monitors so you can shoot outdoors without washing out your image.
In the Field
Record to high resolution ready-to-edit ProRes or DNxHR and confidently monitor or review in Rec709 or HDR on the 7" calibrated 1500nit 10-bit HDR screen using integrated scopes.

Finish the shoot and forge ahead in the editing suite. Simply drop your files directly onto the timeline, use XML tagging from the field, and even take a PQ / HLG signal from your Mac or PC to use the Ninja Inferno as an HDR grading monitor.

Capture ProRes & Avid DNxHR
Record 4K 60p Pro-Res and DNxHR direct from the camera sensor as full individual frames. Includes 10-bit color information and precise, effecient 4:2:2 color encoding.
XLR for your DSLR
Monitor and record up to 8 channels of embedded HDMI 2.0 24-bit digital audio with the Ninja Inferno. You will not be restricted by the limited audio on most HDMI cameras; with the Inferno you upgrade to professional levels. Use an optional 48V stereo XLR breakout cable to connect and power external microphones for balanced analogue audio.
Ninja Inferno features dedicated meters and menus to select channels for recording/monitoring and adjut for frame delay or gain.
Monitor with 1920x1200 Resolution
Featuring 10-bit color, 10+ stops of dynamic range, plus 1920x1200 resolution, the Ninja Inferno also includes an equivalent 12-bit in deep blacks. This is achieved through the AtomHDR engine, which is honed from Log algorithms of every camera maker to give the ultimate brightness and color representation. The custom ATOMOS-built backlight on this monitor includes high-quality, precision LEDs. That means you can use Inferno and its 1500nits for High Bright Rec709 or HDR at 10+ stops.

High Bright for Rec709 Outdoor Shooting
The 7" 1500nit bright, daylight-viewable monitor (1920x1200) is almost 4 times the brightness of conventional field monitors lets you shoot outdoors without reflections washing out your image. This makes the Ninja Inferno ideal for use on gimbals, Steadicam, and as a director's monitor. It delivers crisp, 4K images without the build and viewing angle restrictions found when using a monitor with a sun hood.
Calibrate for Color Accuracy
ATOMOS partnered with calibration leader X-Rite to allow their i1DisplayPro to calibrate the Ninja Inferno. This is because all monitors drift in color over time and require calibration.
Trust what you see with the Ninja Inferno on the color front. You can tap the screen to bring up focus peaking, 2:1/1:1 zoom, Zebra, False Color, Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB Parade, Vectorscope, Anamorphic Desqueeze, plus a flexible 3D LUT implementation to upload your own LUTs as .cube files.
Playback Review with Clients & Crew
Ninja Inferno offers on-board playback or you can output to a larger HDR or Rec709 monitor for playback. By combining a recorder and monitor, directors and clients can review shots away from the camera complete with playback control, XML tagging for favorite collation, play list feneration and even play out to a larger monitor or HDR TV in PQ or HLG.
