ATOMOS Shogun Flame 4K HDMI/SDI Monitor/Recorder interfaces with your digital cameras with Log output (S-Log2, S-Log3, C-Log, V-Log, etc.) and can match 10+ stops of dynamic range neeeded for High Dynamic Range (HDR). This field monitor resolves HDR in the field just as you might see it in Post Production. It records the original Log image direct from the sensor for HDR grading in post production.

Daylight Viewable

Not all scenes call for HDR Log recording. In situations that do not call for 10+ stops of dynamic range, use the intensity of the 1500nit Shogun Flame to monitor traditional standard dynamic range (SDR/Rec709) video at high brightness for outdoor monitoring. 

Select HDR or High Bright SDR. This monitor offers 10-bit processing, 1920x1200 resolution, 325ppi pixel density, and optional calibration to overcome natural LCD color drift and includes tools for ideal shots.

Shogun Flame converts HDMI to SDI or SDI to HDMI.

Wide Camera Compatibility

The HDMI connection on the Shogun Flame is compatible up to 4Kp30 and the SDI connection includes compatibility up to 12G, ensuring you are future proofed as the SMPT standards continue to update. The integrated bi-directional conversion on the Shogun Flame allows HDMI camreas to be integrated into a SDI workflow or permits you to connect SDI cameras to HDMI flat panels.

Unlock the Raw from Sony & Canon

Output 4K/HD Raw from select cameras (Sony FS7/FS700 and Canon C300 MKII/C500) over SDI and record direct to 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes or DNxHR. Capturing Raw using the Shogun Flame is a free feature - no additional licensing costs - and allows you to take advantage of our affordablemedia platform bypassing the need for proprietary cards and media.

Capture 4K & HD

Along with the high pixel density of 4K, the Shogun Flame records higher resolution 10-bit color information, more precise/effecient 4:2:2 color encoding and to visually lossless, edit-ready codecs like Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR. All ideal for more creative Post Production workflows.

Simple OS with Sophisticated Imagery

Shogun Flame is packed with an extensive suite of scopes and tools, including: Focus peaking, 2:1/1:1 zoom, Zebra, False Color, Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB Parade, vectorscope, plus flexible 3D LUT implementation and options for Anamorphic desqueeze monitoring. With 3D LUTs, you can use built-in LOG to Rec709 Video or upload your custom .cube files.

Continuous Power & Fast Charging Batteries

ATOMOS' patented continuous power system pioneered on their HD products are now in the 4K products. This monitor/recorder features a hot swappable dual battery system that automatically swaps to the second battery when the first is too low. Optional dual NP style 4-cell batteries (1.5 hours monitor and recording in 4K) and a fast charger means that you can also swap in portable power quickly and have it ready when you need it.
