The ATOMOS Sumo19M High Bright 19" Monitor with Master Caddy is a 1920x1080 display with HDR capabilities and 10+ dynamic range that can function in multiple ways on set with its scopes and tools, including cross conversion of SDI to HDMI or HDMI to SDI. It is ideal for director or clients, gaffers or focus pullers and support crew, or your DIT cart operator due to its wide range of capabilities. You can also use this capacitive touchscreen in Post Production as an editing monitor.

This 19" monitor includes the Master Caddy II, a BattWing Mounting Bracket, 2x desktop feet, plus a power supply. The protective Master Caddy II accepts your 2.5" SSD and HDD media. It features dual key insertion instead of the single key insertion of the previous model.

NOTE: The Master Caddy II does not playback on this monitor. This is primarily for firmware updates. Should you prefer recording capabilities instead, please consider the ATOMOS Sumo 4Kp60 HDR 19" Monitor/Recorder instead.

Monitor Use Cases

Director or Client Monitor - Features large 1200nits daylight viewable 1920x1080 display with HDR capabilities that your director and clients will find helpful. View Log footage with 10+ stops of dynamic range with the unique AtomHDR engine. Monitor accepts custom LUTs. You can output the image to your connected screens and devices via HDMI or HD-SDI with LUTs applied or in HDR in HLG or PQ formats.

Gaffer, Focus Puller or Support Crew - This 1920x1080 IPS LCD display offers the ability to view footage from most Log cameras in Rec709 with preset camera profiles. Helps your team with technical setups and focusing your image due to the monitor's clarity and easy of use. Peaking helps you reach accurate focus points while Waveform ensure optimal exposure to confirm rapidly that your shots are setup correctly.

DIT Cart Operator - DITs will appreciate the robust construction of the Sumo19M monitor. It offers multiple connection points, and flexible power options. Use the comprehensive range of tools and scopes, including Waveform and Vectorscope, to confirm your client's image. Use AtomHDR to view 10+ stops of dynamic range on screen from your Log material in Rec709 with a LUT applied. You can also utilize one of the pre-installed manufacturer specific camera profiles.

Editing Monitor - Just as at home in Post as it is on set, the Sumo19M color-accurate display offers the ability to grade HDR or Rec709 footage. Edit in Log and instantly see your result in Rec709 with 10+ stops of dynamic range displayed. Maintain color accuracy over time with the X-rite iDisplayPro probe. Output in HDR to HLG or PQ formats for instant preview on a compatible HDR television. Unlike a regular computer monitor, the Sumo19M directly accepts broadcast spec video signals over SDI and HDMI from your NLE. This allows for extremely accurate monitoring. Waveform, RGB Parade, Vectorscope, plus safety guides are all available.

Real-Time Exposure On Set from Log for HDR & SDR

The AtomHDR engine maps Log/PQ/HLG from poular cameras and game consoles to Sumo19M's panel to resolve 10+ stops of HDR in real-time for the perfect setting. Pass-on HDR to other devices over HDMI or SDI, in HD or 4K and in Rec709/HLG/PQ. To get the best image from your sensor, you must shoot Log and only AtomHDR makes exposing Log easier. It unlocks every camera's HDR potential. The Sumo19M inputs can be used as an editing and grading companion in the studio with full SDR and HDR support through Rec709/HLG/PQ.

Monitoring Made Simple

The Sumo19M offers performance monitor with its processing of HDR or SDR, 4Kp60 or HD, 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 and everything in-between. With the recording functions removed, the user interface has been redesigned to emulate a button-based monitor. All the precision scopes can be accessed from the bottom of the screen as an overlay. This makes it simple and intuitive, somewhat like your smartphone, to make adjustments.

Noise-Free SDR with Log and AtomHDR

Today's productions require flexibility to perform, no matter the camera or production you must be able to deliver superb SDR or HDR to your clients. Shooting Log from your camera and exploing with AtomHDR gives you the maximum latitude and flexibility in Post Production to produce the cleanest and noise-free SDR image or high dynamic range HDR.

Selectable Dual 12G-SDI or 6G-SDI or 3G-SDI Input for A/B Comparison

The Sumo19M accepts up to 4Kp60 or HDp240 over HDMI or the dual 12/6/3G-SDI inputs. There are also dedicated input selection buttons on the user interface to make A/B comparison between sources simple and simultaneous HDMI and SDI output of the corresponding input for routing to your other monitos, recorders or switchers.

Precise and Flexible 3D LUTs and custom LUTs

Load an infinite number of custom LUTs onto Sumo19M via the HDD/SSD media slot. Apply and compare looks for finishing in SDR or HDR from your favorite LUT for your camera or from your post team for consistency across shoots. All stakeholders from customers to directors can see the creative finish live on the day you shoot it.

NOTE: A list of supported and accepted media is available at ATOMOS's website.

High Bright 1200Nits 19" Calibrated Monitor

The extremely bright display mean you can monitor outside in full daylight. Sumo19M offers a wide viewing angle to allow multiple people to view the action. It also features optional calibration using X-Rite's iDisplayPro for ongoing accurate HDR and Rec709 monitoring.

Rugged Build for Production Use

The aluminum alloy chassis with built-in armor houses 10x 1/4"-20 and 5x 3/8"-16 mount points on the top/bottom/sides. A rear panel VESA mount and included feet offer a variety of mounting confugration options for your unique setup.

Continuous Power

Add optional mounting plates (sold separately) to connect dual V-Mount or Anton Bauer batteries that work in tandem with the ATOMOS patent pending continuous power system. Sumo automatically swaps to the second battery when the power is low to allow you to drain the battery so you can hot swap your batteries and never be without power in the field.
