Canon FD Lenses Rehoused by TLS

Canon FD Lenses offer a vintage look with full frame coverage. Originally designed for Canon still film cameras, Canon FD lenses are known for their softer, more inviting images when compared to modern cinema lenses. Canon FD lenses are also known for how naturally and softly they render skin tones, making them great portrait lenses. These lenses also have the SSC coating, the most highly sought out coating for the FD series of lenses.

This set of Canon FD Lenses rehoused by TLS have a cam driven focus system and chassis style lens housing. This allows matte boxes and other accessories to be attached to the front of the lens, all without affecting focus movement. Other benefits are zero backlash and image shift, allowing for an accurate dual focus scale that is repeatable no matter the direction the focus is turned. A large external barrel gives space for a wide spread of markings through the focus scale. Built using aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and brass with robust construction, these rehousings guarantee a long serviceable life.

This set includes 4 of the most highly sought out Canon FD Lenses, the 24mm SSC Aspherical, 55mm SSC Aspherical, 85mm SSC Aspherical, and 35mm SSC Concave. The aspherical lenses were manufactured with hand shaped aspherical elements that allow for a faster aperture and corrected for aberrations in the field. These lenses were basis for Canon's K35 lenses, and share most of the same optical qualities. The 35mm SSC Concave are the rarer version of the 35mm FD lenses.
