The Tiffen Pro Mist 1/4 Filter - 4x5.65 reduces skin tone shimmer and diffuses skin tone values, while adding a subtle overall glow and halation (halo) effect to practical and specular light sources. Lighter grades are useful for toning down the extreme sharpness and contrast of contemporary camera and lens combinations. Pro Mist filters are often used to mute colors for exquisite pastel tones, and the halation effect is more prominent than that of Pearlescent filters.
