Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down for a conversation with Ellen Kuras, ASC to discuss her work as the cinematographer on David Byrne's American Utopia, a concert film directed by Spike Lee.
In our conversation, Ellen Kuras, ASC discusses her experiences using the Sony VENICE and why she ended up choosing it for American Utopia. She also talks about her early work in documentaries and how it informs her shooting style across all types of projects, including narrative, music, and commercials.
