Today, Vision Research revealed the new Phantom Miro LC320S Digital Cinema High-Speed Camera, which brings together the best of the two Phantom camera lines. The Phantom Flex, and its predecessor the HD Gold, introduced straightforward, on-camera controls and ease of use to digital high-speed imaging, while Miro cameras offer the same uncompressed RAW HD high-speed capture a in small, lightweight package.

AbelCine worked with action cinematographer Jim Geduldick on a project to test an early release version of the new Phantom Miro M320S camera. Jim produced and directed a test shoot at Camp Woodward in Pennsylvania, which involved skateboarders, BMX, and dirt bike riders from all over the east coast. Camp Woodward is an amazing facility that began over thirty years ago and has helped define "extreme sports" for several generations since.

Sony just announced the NEX-FS700 camera and, lucky for us, they brought it by for a quick peek. It has all the features of the FS100 but with some big improvements including a 3G-SDI output, ND filters and high-speed recording options.
