TVLogic has released their latest firmware for the VFM-058W. This firmware adds some major updates for those using the monitor with any ALEXA camera.

The Ninja Assassin is the latest addition to the Atomos line of monitors/recorders. The Ninja Assassin is a 4K ProRes recorder with many of the same features as its big brother the Shogun, but with HDMI input and output only, no SDI.

The Atomos Shogun has become a top choice for off-camera monitoring and recording. Its lightweight and feature-rich design make it ideal for acquisition from HD up to 4K.

Sony has released software update v1.1 for the PVM-A & LMD-A series of monitors. These OLED monitors offer excellent picture quality, and the A-series adds enhanced performance with a slimmer design and lower weight than previous models. Convergent Design's Odyssey7Q is a versatile recorder/monitor that's a perfect match for the Canon C500. The Odyssey7Q acts as a great onboard monitor and is capable of recording multiple formats from multiple cameras, but when paired with the C500, it allows for 4K Raw, 2K and HD external recording. What's especially useful with this combo is the ability to record 4K Raw externally, while at the same time recording HD internally with matched filenames.
