Binge Watch Films Launches Studio to Fund Independent Content

Binge Watch Films (BWF) is a new studio dedicated to producing and licensing original, narrative, episodic programming to streaming video services and brands. Jens Bogehegn and Steve Weiss of Zacuto created BWF to support the community in what they see as the future of the indie filmmaking.

Binge Watch FilmsBinge Watch Films believes that episodic, streaming content is where the entertainment industry is headed, especially for independent productions. Theatrical distribution deals are extremely hard to come by, but streaming video services and brands are hungry for content. Indie filmmakers can submit their pitches to Binge Watch Films, and if accepted, BWF will fund their pilot and seek licensing and distribution deals.

Binge Watch Films has launched a crowdfunding campaign, which offers huge discounts on the products and services filmmakers already use. The proceeds from this campaign will go towards the studio’s funding of new content.
