Overview
The Sanken CS-2 Mono Shotgun Microphone is a long distance shotgun pickup with a rich, natural tone. This microphone is constructed with a 120mm acoustic tube inside a standard 250mm length/19mm diameter body, with the proprietary Sanken rectangular capsule for excellent directivity. The CS-2 ideal for a wide range of uses, such as outdoor location sound, interviews, sports, drama, variety shows, and more.
This microphone features a high boost switch that automatically compensates for attenuation of high frequencies when the mic is used with a windscreen/windjammer for outdoor recording. As a result, the full, natural sound is maintained.
