Overview
Made of solid anodized aluminum, the SHAPE V-Lock Quick Release Baseplate (BP0008) is ideal for Panasonic and Sony camera plates with its V-lock delta adapter at the bottom. The BP0008 QR Baseplate fits directly on your tripod. The improved design of this QR Plate provides (3) slots on top of the plate for either a centered or an offset position (15mm studio). It also offers threaded holes at the back to attach accessories (1/4-20, 3/8-16).
Add an optional pair of SHAPE Double Quick Handle Rosettes to the pair of ARRI-style Rosettes for a well balanced handheld system similar to the BP8000 V-Lock, which is sold separately.
The front bracket of the Shape V-Lock BP0008 allows the user to adjust the height quickly with an Allen key. Also, the front rod bracket can be switched from 15mm lightweight to 15mm studio or 19mm, using optional adapters.
This baseplate is lighter than the BP0007, its predecessor, and also features a modified, front rod adapter. You can adjust the front rod adapter vertically to position an optional mattebox.
Use this baseplate as either a tripod-mounted camera configuration or on your shoulder rig due to a removable shoulder pad, which is attached via Velcro. Grips and arms are not included and would be needed to complete a shoulder rig.
