Pelican 1640 Transport Case with Foam - Black provides a durable hard case to transport your equipment and gear. Pelican 1640 Case is watertight, crushproof, and dustproof to withstand the rigors of production. The lid opens to approximately 90-degrees to allow you full-access to your case contents.

A 5-piece Pick N Pluck foam insert allows you to customize your case interior to create slots and cutouts to protect specific, individual tools or delicate gear during travel. Pick N Pluck foam for Pelican cases comes pre-scored in cubes so you can remove the excess foam you do not need to fit your exact requirements. Includes: 1x egg crate convoluted lid foam, 1x foam bottom piece, 3x foam sections to customize yourself.

The case includes an IP67 rating, which allows you to submerge the case up to 1 meter for 30 minutes in water. That means your case can handle inclement weather on location and during transport between multiple locations. Features Double Throw latches, an Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve to compensate for changes in temperature and altitude and keep out water, plus an O-ring seal. 

Case includes (4) polyurethane wheels with stainless steel ball bearings. A retractable, extension handle offers easy maneuverability for your rolling, square case. This hard case also includes a double-wide carry handle on top. This is a heavy-duty case to lug your heavy or bulky gear, so using the provided wheels is recommended.
